While there are many ways to display a beautiful image, one of my preferred methods is to hand mount onto metal.
I first print one of my images using pigment ink onto archival paper, which allows the color to remain true and steadfast for years to come. Next, I mount the image onto a metal plate, hand distress the edges, and then rub paint into those edges for a one-of-a kind result. The plate is then mounted to a hand-dyed wooden box with just enough of depth reveal to give an artful, floating appearance. The rich espresso color of the wooden boxes compliments the richness of these images.
The finished piece can range from 8 to 24 inches square with a box depth of 2 inches.
